Audio
There is a Sonos. You have to download the app and pair your device. Unless you just want to use Sonos programming, you also have to hook the app up with whatever music service you subscribe to. Vinyl - Feel free to indulge. Just need to turn the receiver on and it is all set to go.

TV
It’s slowwww. Give it time. On the main screen you’ll see an option for all of the services. We have Netflix, Apple TV+ and Amazon Prime Video. Just hit one of those little icons and off you go.

AM Cat Feeding - 1/4 can wet each + 1 scoop dry each
When you wake up, open the deck doors first, then start the feeding. If Gigi has been outside all night, she will usually come in at the sound of the food being opened. If she eats her whole serving and Pancho doesn’t eat anything, you’ll need to cover his food bowl with a large white bowl. Wait until a little later to uncover. He usually starts hanging around that area when he’s ready to eat.

PM Cat Feeding - 1/4 can wet each + 1/2 scoop dry each
The cats will start reminding you to feed them around 6pm or so. We usually wait until about 6:30 or 7 in the summer because you have to close all the doors and then it gets a little stuffy inside. Before serving them, please close all but the deck doors. Once Gigi starts eating, that is the time to close the deck doors and trap her in for the night. Also at this time, please make sure the all of the windows are only cracked because the screens are shoddy and Gigi will find a way out. Don’t worry too much if you don’t trap her in for the nigh. She will be back in the morning. On the other hand, *please make sure Pancho is in. He’s not really bright enough to keep himself from getting eaten by a coyote or sprayed by a skunk.

Getting Pancho to Come in Using the Treat Jar
If you are having a tough time getting him to come in, just give the treat jar a shake and open it up. The sound of the lid unscrewing will catch his attention. He usually comes running from wherever he is. You can easily pick him up if need be.

Cat Litter
Litter box is in the closet in the office. Scooper and poop bags are in the paper bag beside it. Scoop out every other day or so. Throw bags out in the bin in the driveway, not the trash can on the back porch. Hit the area around the litter box with the Dyson every so often so that the litter doesn’t get spread around the room.

Trash/Compost
Collection is every Monday morning. Best to put the bins out Sunday night. NOTE* You have to place them up to where the divider is between the road and “the sidewalk” (which is not a sidewalk,) If you set it back against the fence they won’t take it. Food scraps and such should go in the little gray compost pale on the kitchen porch. Find replacement bags under the sink.

Using the BBQ
Gotta turn on the gas first. Please remember to turn off when done.

Hot Tub
You have to turn on the pump first and then the heater. Normally takes about an hour to get hot. Please don’t leave the pump/heater on when you are not using the tub. Use about 2 tbsp of shock about once a week. If you want to test the water for proper PH and chlorine levels, there are strips beside the tub. If any adjustments are needed, chemicals are in the shed. If you are staying longer, check the blue floaty thing in the tub every now and again. If the bromine tablet is close to being all the way dissolved, please replace it.

Bikes
Combo lock is 4771, Key for the other U lock will be on the keychain set with the Prius key.

Yard Watering
Water the non drought tolerant south side of the back yard about twice a week at dusk. Give the plants on the north side of the backyard and front area water about once a week.

Garden Plants
Water the seedlings, basil, arugula in the wine barrel, tomatoes and strawberries in the raised beds, once a day. If there is fruit, eat as much as you want. Same for basil.

House Plants
Water once a week

Outdoor Shower
There’s a slight leak, so, after each use, just leave the shower head in the bucket as you found it. Once a decent amount of water is collected, use it to water your favorite backyard plant.

Controlling the Heat in Summer
During the summer months it can get pretty hot inside. Best bet is to follow the sun. Close the shades to the east facing windows in the morning and then the shades of the west facing windows in the afternoon, All the doors can pretty much be left open all day.

Board Storage
Please make sure the underside of the last board on the stack is facing outward. If the wax side faces out, it will melt with the direct morning sun.

Back Yard Hanging Lights
Use the remote in the kitchen to control these. Please turn off if you’re not out there. They light up the neighbors’ yards too.
